D and I purposely went away for the weekend to see if we can live together. We went rock hounding and exploring. When we got back he said he would pick me up at 7pm. He did and said, “lets go, lets go”, I want to talk to you about something.

He took me to the jewelry store and it was closed. He said I will tell you when we get back to the kids house what we are doing. He had two rings, one ruby and one sapphire that belonged to his mother. He showed them to me before we went in the house. He wanted to know which one I liked. He said I want to do this in front of the kids

He got down on one knee and said “CJ (that’s what he calls me) will you marry me.” He gave me his mother’s ruby ring. He said “we will get you a ring Monday. After I get my ring I will have the ruby ring sized to fit her little finger.” I take breathes and ask, “is this real?”

I can’t see the rest of my life without him. You better be at the wedding Lori. Our song is Keeper of Stars. It’s just perfect for us. I couldn’t have ordered him up if I would’ve done it myself! We bring out the best in each other. I don’t have to pretend. I couldn’t be happier.
